From 29 September to 4 October 2014, International Fair Plovdiv will organize the 70th International Technical Fair, which is the successor of the First Bulgarian Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition. The International Technical Fair is among the most prestigious business forums for investment goods and technologies in Southeastern Europe, showcasing the achievements of world-leading companies in the fields of machine building, automobiles, transport, information technology, software, electronics and electrical engineering, construction, chemical industry, power engineering, environment, etc.
In 2013, over 1,040 companies from 41 countries participated in the event. Official participations were registered by Argentina, Austria, Greece, India, Poland, Republic of South Africa, Slovak Republic, while Germany and Poland were presented by joint participations. The number of visitors amounted to 30,651.
Exhibition categories: Ten international exhibitions are held within the framework of the International technical Fair:

-    AUTOTECH – International Exhibition of Transport and Auto Service Equipment
-    CHEMICAL INDUSTRY
-    ELTECH – International Exhibition of Electronics and Electrical Engineering
-    ENECO – International Exhibition of Power Engineering and Ecology
-    INFOTECH – International Exhibition of Information Technologies
-    MACHINE BUILDING
-    STROYTECH – International Exhibition of Building Materials, Machines and Technologies
-    INTERMIN EXPO – International Exhibition of Mining Industry
-    MOTOR SHOW PLOVDIV
 
Competitions:
-    International Gold Medal and Diploma Competition in five categories:
-    Machine building;
-    Electronics and electrical engineering;
-    Information technologies, telecommunications, office equipment;
-    Transport and auto service equipment;
-    Power engineering and ecology, water management and technologies, chemical industry;
-    Construction
-    Innovative Electrical Product Award of the International Technical Fair
-    Diploma for Best Exhibition Stand Design and Grand Award "Crystal Tetrahedron"
-    Certificate for the most original and attractive presentation of a new product
By tradition, a special car prize draw ceremony is organized on the last day of the International Technical Fair for those visitors, who have completed a questionnaire form.
